Author's Note: Death Note is not mine, much less Mello and Near, but if was certainly would have yaoi xD Only the fanfiction and the plot are mine.

It rained incessantly, soaking the earth with tears of sadness. It's been hours since the death of the blonde, but he still felt the pain that didn't diminish, much less was reduced. In fact, only seemed to increase.
He hugged his legs tightly against his chest as he stared at the rain through the window of his room. It was futile and foolish to stay looking out of the gate in the vague hope that Mello passed by it and returned once and for all. It was something really ridiculous.
He pulled his shirt tight feeling that pain again crushing his chest and taking the air from his lungs. However, as he wanted, couldn't get those thoughts of his mind, or rather: get Mello out of his head.
He felt the first tears streaming down his face, showing his grief. He couldn't believe that he was crying, could barely remember a single time he did it. If Mello could see that, he certainly would make a joke and he would be right. That was the first demonstration most human he had ever had.
Human ... who would have thought
He took one of his shaking hands up to the bedside table in order to get the chocolate bar that the blond had left there before leaving, probably conscious of his death and wanting to leave something for the successor of L to still having a bit of he with him.
After he read the label that said "milk chocolate" he eaten a piece. But the writing on the package was a lie. The chocolate tasted bitter.

Author's Note for the end: I desired to do a fic of this couple. It's my favorite from Death Note *-* I think doing a long fic about they, but i would like to know your opinions to know if i should do or not. Leave reviews to let me know if the fanfic was good or no. Thanks for have read! *0*
